Backpacker Apollo Bay

Apollo Bay is located 191 km from Melbourne in the Great Ocean Road region. Apollo Bay, nestled at the Otway Ranges’ foothills, is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway to the seaside. You might even see koalas at Otway National Park.

Apollo Bay Eco YHA

This hostel is a great choice for backpackers, families with children, couples or large groups.

The hostel is modern, comfortable and eco-friendly. It’s located only a few minutes walk from Apollo Bay’s town centre, where you will find restaurants, bars and shops. If you’re looking to surf, it’s right next to the beach!

You can choose from private rooms in different sizes, including larger family rooms, or dorms with bunk beds and lockers. The rooms all have shared bathrooms and are modern and clean. There is something for everyone.

You will find two fully stocked communal kitchens and comfortable common rooms with TVs. A reading room, book exchange and more are just some of the many amenities that you will find at this location.

Great Ocean Road Hotel

The Great Ocean Road Hotel can be found upstairs, inside the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse. The Great Ocean Road Hotel is a budget-friendly accommodation option in Apollo Bay. It’s suitable for couples, single travellers, families, groups, and backpackers. There are a variety of rooms available, as well as backpacker dorms that all have shared bathrooms.

The Great Ocean Road Brewhouse is a great place to stay if you enjoy craft beer, live music and good food. It’s also very affordable, comparable to hostel accommodation.

Lorne Backpacker

Lorne, 40km further down the Great Ocean Road is Torquay. This is a relaxed area with many shops, cafes, and restaurants. You also have quick access to the Otways to explore the Otway Forest, away from the beaches, where stunning waterfalls can be found.

Lorne YHA Backpackers Hostel

The Lorne YHA Backpackers Hostel, a family-friendly resort located on Victoria’s coast on the Great Ocean Road, is a great place to stay. The hostel is located in a prime location, between trees and a river. The rooms are large and the hotel has free Wi-Fi. This is a wonderful place to socialise. It was definitely one of my favourite hostels during my time in Australia. It’s an excellent place for bird lovers. You can see cockatoos all day!

Anglesea backpacker

Anglesea celebrates life by the sea with its towering cliffs, white sandy beaches, and abundant native wildlife. This charming surf town is just ten minutes from Torquay, on the Great Ocean Road. It’s the ideal spot for all your natural adventures.

A small hostel for backpackers, solo travellers, and couples. This small hostel is located in the middle of Anglesea and has a homey feel. There’s an upgraded kitchen and friendly dogs that will welcome you to their home. There is also an outdoor patio and a barbecue. They encourage interaction between guests and staff by being friendly and helpful. This is the place for you if you are looking for a smaller, more intimate space with a social atmosphere.

Warrnambool Backpacker

Warrnambool, a city located on Victoria’s south-west coast between Port Fairy & Port Campbell is called. Warrnambool is home to many coastal attractions. The main swimming beach at Lady Bay is the protected sandy stretch of Bathing Beach. The 20-hectare Lake Pertobe Adventure Park is located behind the beach. It features playgrounds, fitness equipment and BBQs. A kiosk can also be found here.

Torquay Backpacker

Torquay, Victoria’s surf and beach worship capital, is the official start point for the Great Ocean Road. Bells Beach Backpackers Hostel

The Bells Beach Backpackers Hostel is a great place to stop in Torquay’s picturesque seaside resort. The town, which is located near Bells Beach is home to many iconic surf brands. It is also known as the surfing capital. Torquay is located 95km south west of Melbourne. It is the official gateway for the Great Ocean Road.

This hostel is perfect for those who wish to explore the area on a personal level. The Bells Beach Backpacker Hostel makes a great starting point for anyone who is interested in exploring the Great Ocean Road.
