Greens Lake Recreation Reserve Campground is a popular camping destination near Echuca in Victoria, Australia. The campground offers a peaceful and serene setting for visitors to enjoy the surrounding area’s natural beauty.It features a range of camping options, including powered and unpowered sites. 

Facilities include toilets, showers, non-potable water, sheltered picnic tables, an RV dump point, mobile and TV reception, and trails. The campground is situated on Greens Lake’s shores, where you can go fishing, swimming, and boating. You can also enjoy walking or cycling on the nearby trails. The campground is accessible to RVs, motorhomes, camper trailers, caravans, and big rigs.

In addition to the lake, the campground is surrounded by scenic bushland, forests, and parks, making it a popular destination for bushwalking and birdwatching. Aysons Reserve Campground is located on Burnewang Road, about three kilometres off the Midland Highway. It sits on the Aysons Reserve near the Campaspe River. A free and pet-friendly campground, the Aysons Reserve Campground offers wheelchair-friendly facilities such as toilets, non-drinking water, mobile and TV reception, and an RV dump point. 

The campground is situated in a tranquil and peaceful setting surrounded by bushland and forests, making it a great destination for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is an ideal spot for tent camping, RVs, caravans, and camper trailers, which can also be accessed by motorcycles and big rigs. While here, you can go boating, birdwatching, kayaking, fishing, and canoeing.

While Aysons Reserve Campground allows you to bring your furry pet, you are required to have them on a leash at all times and pick up after them. You will need to obtain a permit through the Shire’s website for stays longer than three days and two nights. There is no charge for the permit. You can restock from Elmore Township, which is a short 10-minute drive away from Aysons Reserve Campground.

Mathoura Bowling Club is located between Echuca and Deniliquin. The family-friendly country club offers free camping and a caravan park behind the club building. You can stay here for up to 48 hours and camping in tents is allowed.

Mathoura Bowling Club is accessible to campervans, camper trailers, caravans, and big rigs. You are advised to notify the club when you arrive, keep animals on a lead and clean up after them. Also, minimise noise and park in an orderly manner.

Wills Bend Sandbar is a basic bush campground along the Murray River off O’dwyer Road in Moama, Victoria. The campground offers designated camping areas at Wills Bend near Echuca, with three toilets provided. However, you’ll need to bring your own toilet paper. You can launch your boat into the water from a nearby boat ramp. You can also enjoy decent mobile and TV reception. Campsites must be located at least 20m from any water source. You must also take all your rubbish with you and leave no trace.

You are advised to avoid resting, picnics, or camping under or close to trees as they may drop heavy branches at any time without warning. Located in the Upper Murray, the Wills Bend Sandbar falls under the jurisdiction of the North-East fire ban district.

Camping in tents is allowed, and the campground is accessible by campervans, camper trailers, caravans, and big rigs. While here, you can enjoy birdwatching, walking the trails, swimming, and fishing. There are also off-road 4WD trails nearby that you can try out.
